Mono Pitch Roof Construction

Robin is working on an extension so we thought we d shadow him for the day and see how he creates a pitched roof or semi pitched roof leading up to a flat.

The mono pitch roof was commonly used to form extensions in victorian times and is still used in a similar fashion today. Saw tooth roofs can often be seen on old school factories that were constructed with a series of mono pitched roofs that are used to allow sunlight to filter down to the shop floor. Mono pitched roof construction is generally standalone roofs which imply that you don t need to attach them to any part of your roof. A mono pitched roof runs from a taller wall to a wall of lesser height to produce a slope.
